Youth Athletic Program

Snapshot of three boys with trophies and certificates for basketball. Our Youth Athletic Program (YAP) is an inclusive adapted sports program for at-risk youth, including those with disabilities and chronic illnesses. Launched in 2007 with summer soccer clinics, the project initially targeted children of parents and caregivers who attended its support group meetings and was later expanded to include children of all abilities.

This program is designed to engage the children in physical activity, promote the importance of making healthy choices, and gain an understanding and a love for various sports. YAP features T-Ball clinicsReadSpeaker opens a new windowListen in the spring; Soccer and Golf Clinics during the summer; Flag Football in the fall, and Basketball and Cheerleading in the winter.
